We supply C16 pressure treated softwood in standard sizes ready to use as carcassing and studding. All you need to do is select your section size and lengths, then our website will give you an instant price.

These timbers are all supplied to industry standards so they can be used immediately with no further work required. They are kiln dried, making them stable, and the treatment they go through helps make them incredibly durable too.

This CLS studding is commonly used in housing and is increasingly recommended, as the UK government are trying to grow the use of renewable materials used in the building industry. The C16 grading gives peace of mind that the timber can perform in structural environments.

FAQ

What Sizes of C16 Studding is Available?

As standard our carcassing is supplied EX 4x2 and EX 3x2 (the finished sizes are 89mm x 38mm and 63mm x 38mm). The EX, or nominal, is the size the timber starts at before it is planed to size, this means that the finished size is what you actually receive.

What Lengths are Available?

Our standard length range consists of 2.4m, 3m, 3.6m, 4.2m and 4.8m if you require anything outside of that range get in touch and we’ll price it for you.

Is your C16 timber treated?

Yes, our timber is green pressure treated which means that it can be used internally and externally. This treatment protects against rot, fungus and infestation.

Will the timber preserve its colour?

When used externally the timber will fade to a grey colour (like any other wood) due to being exposed to UV light.
