What is Loglap Cladding?

Loglap cladding is easily identified by its signature curved face that looks as though it has come straight from the log. Our cladding has a 110mm face coverage and can be supplied in a range of lengths including 2.4m, 3m, 3.6m, 4.2m and 4.8m.

Pressure Treated Softwood Cladding is great for out buildings and sheds because it is lightweight and durable. Making it easy to fit and moderately maintenance free. The treatment the cladding has undergone means that you can just leave it to the elements, however, if you prefer you can paint the timber. When left unpainted the wood will fade to a light grey.

The treatment provided to our Loglap cladding helps to protect it from rot, fungi and insects so it can perform better for longer.

How do I install Loglap Cladding?

This cladding is designed to be installed horizontally with face fixings. We recommend using Stainless Steel fixings for all of our claddings, this helps to make sure you don’t get blue stain and makes sure the nails/screws don’t rust. Predrilling the timber will stop the timber from splitting and it’s important that you rest the boards on the head of the fixing.

Vertical battens behind the boards can be spaced anywhere between 400 and 600mm depending on preference.

Do I need to do anything before installation?

No, the timber is ready for immediate installation. If you would like to coat the wood with a paint or oil you can do after installation.

What are the benefits of pressure treating Softwood?

Pressure treating is a process that allows usually perishable softwoods to become durable when used outdoors. Giving you a more cost effective alternative to naturally durable timbers like Oak and Cedar.

The treatment penetrates the wood increasing its durability so it can be used outside and helps to protect the wood against.
